Beginners – A1 and A2

This course is aimed at people who have no prior knowledge of Dutch and wish to be able to cope with everyday situations at school, on a business trip, on holiday or at work within a relatively short period of time.

The lessons focus on communicative language skills: speaking well without fear of speaking and ensuring clear pronunciation. In addition, great emphasis is placed on listening and reading comprehension, as well as on the most important grammar topics. All programmes allow for your own input, ensuring that the lessons are tailored as closely as possible to your personal learning needs.

Advanced – B1 and higher

Do you already have a good command of Dutch but would like to improve it further? Then the advanced Dutch course is just right for you.

In this course, we will speak, write and listen using topics that you can suggest yourself. We build on your existing language skills and ensure that these are developed further. We place great emphasis on understanding the Dutch language and will consolidate your grammar in every session, so that you can speak the language fluently.

Dutch for healthcare professionals

If you are a doctor, psychiatrist, nurse or dentist from abroad and wish to work in the Netherlands, you will need sufficient language skills to obtain BIG registration. The Maas-Rhine School has already helped many foreign healthcare professionals prepare for the BIG language exam.

Intensive course

This course runs for a week comprising five days, with four to six hours per day, depending on your needs, and we aim to speak as much Dutch as possible.

The intensive course is offered exclusively on-site in South Limburg. This may be at Rolduc Abbey in Kerkrade or at the C-Mill site of the Maas-Rhine School in Heerlen. Accommodation is available at the Abbey Hotel Rolduc or the Alpine Hotel Snowworld.
