French

Beginners – A1

In this course at this level, you will learn the basics of the French language and focus on ‘communication on the go’. Asking for directions, placing an order, understanding what time it is – after this course, none of this will be a problem.

The standard course consists of thirty one-and-a-half-hour lessons, during which we will also set you homework. After these lessons, you will be able to find your way around in France at the airport, on the street, in a hotel, in a restaurant and so on.

Of course, all kinds of bespoke solutions are possible. You can discuss this with us at any time.

Beginners – up to A2

This course is designed for those who have little knowledge of French and wish to be able to cope with everyday situations at school, on a business trip, on holiday or at work within a relatively short period of time.

The lessons focus on communicative language skills: speaking well without fear of speaking, and ensuring clear pronunciation. Furthermore, great emphasis is placed on listening and reading comprehension, as well as on the most important grammatical topics.

In all programmes, there is scope for your own input, ensuring that the lessons are optimally tailored to your personal learning needs.

Advanced – from B1

Do you already have a good command of French but would like to improve it further? Then the French course for advanced learners is just right for you.

In this course, we will speak, write and listen using topics that you can suggest. We will build on your existing language skills and ensure that they are expanded. We place great emphasis on understanding the French language and will consolidate your grammar in every session so that you can speak the language fluently.

Intensive course

Our intensive French language course runs for a week of five days, with four to six hours lessons per day, depending on your needs. We aim to speak as much French as possible.

We will decide on the content of the intensive course together. We will provide a tailor-made programme that meets your goals and preferences. This course can be extended by one or more weeks.

The intensive course is offered exclusively on-site in South Limburg. This may be at Rolduc Abbey in Kerkrade or at the Maas-Rhine School’s C-Mill campus in Heerlen. Accommodation is available at the Abbey Hotel Rolduc or the Alpine Hotel Snowworld.
